I specialize in puppies and dogs; however, I have been known to train cats and fish π
What is your training philosophy?
I train you to build a relationship with your animal that is a deep bond, resulting in clear communication, behaviors that you want, and replacing behaviors that you do not want. All force-free, all positive, all science-based.

What does a typical pet sitting visit entail?
Complete care for your animals, including food, water, medications (if necessary), watering plants, bringing in the mail, packages, playtime or walks/enrichment games, changing blinds/curtains/lights, and if you still get a newspaper, I will pick that up, too!
How long have you been working with animals professionally?
For more years than I care to count now. At least 30 years starting at 13, and I am a spry 55 as I type this. I have changed careers, but I always come back to working with animals. I have owned 4 pet sitting companies and have been professionally training dogs since 2007.
What do you charge for your services?
Refer to each service page, and at the bottom of each service page, you will find pricing. Do you come to my home for dog training?
I come to your home for private training lessons and work with you and/or your entire family to make sure we work in your environment where most of the behavior takes place and with everyone who interacts with the family pet.
Do you do overnights?
I do not, since I have a husband and my animals, but I can certainly refer you to a trusted overnight pet sitter if that is what you need.
Do I get to meet you first before you care for my pets?
Yes, you get one free consultation before pet sitting. I come to you, or we can do it virtually if you are comfortable with doing so. We will go through the care of the pet(s), and I will answer any and all questions you may have.
Can I do a meet-and-greet prior to boarding my animal(s)?
Absolutely, I encourage meet and greets, and they are no charge.
What is your cancellation policy?
50% of the price of the total fee within 72 hours. I have reserved that time for you, and I make my plans around my commitments, as I also turn away those who may not fit into my schedule if you have reserved my time. If a trip is canceled, especially during the holidays, I strictly enforce this policy.
What do you charge on holidays for pet sitting?
Extra $10 per day on specific days. Please refer to the Pet Sitting Page for the type of service you are looking for, and the fees are at the bottom of the page.
What is the best way to begin service?
Email is the best way, but a call or a text is also perfectly welcome. If I am unavailable, a text may not be responded to quickly, the same goes if I am traveling with a phone call, but email you will receive information on my availability in case I am out of the office for any reason.
